To counter the effects of aging, stress, and support facial structure, One Agora Integrative Health provides several different types of Juvederm® fillers. Juvederm can restore lost volume, smooth out moderate to severe lines and wrinkles, fill out depressed scars (including acne scarring), plump lips, enhance facial contours, and correct facial asymmetry – all with one family of products.
Juvederm injections offer tremendous results for hard-to-treat areas like nasolabial folds and marionette lines. When injected, Juvederm’s gel-like consistency can add extra fullness and volume where wrinkles were before. Formulated primarily with HA, Juvederm was designed to be close to the body's own hyaluronic acid, which diminishes as we age. Juvederm injections can also enhance the body's collagen production.
Juvederm helps attract water and provides hydration, fullness, and elasticity. Depending on the formula used, Juvederm can begin to transform the look of your face with a single treatment, sometimes two, offering results that last from 6 to 24 months, depending on the area treated. You begin seeing results almost immediately, and it continues to improve for the first 2 to 4 weeks.

Your Juvederm Injections will be performed in our office. The longevity of your effects and the number of treatments needed will depend on your skin rejuvenation goals. Usually, one to two injection sessions are required.
During your session, the selected injection site will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, then a small needle or cannula will be used to insert the selected Juvederm formula into your treatment area. The process can be repeated if you have multiple areas that need to be treated.
At your initial consultation, we will take a full medical history and evaluate your skin rejuvenation goals.

You may see a difference immediately after treatment, with results optimizing within 2 to 4 weeks or continuing to improve for even longer. Recurring injections may be needed to provide continued results. Results vary among individuals.
A single injection can bring results that last 6 to 24 months, depending on the type of treatment and the area treated.
Juvederm contains lidocaine that helps to soothe any mild pain in the areas being treated.
Swelling, bruising, soreness or redness at the injection site is to be expected, but these effects are only temporary. Vascular occlusions are a potential risk, but warm massage and hyaluronidase can reverse this side effect. Please speak with one of our providers with any further questions regarding potential side effects.
There can be some downtime depending on which area is treated. We recommend that you do not plan any special events for 2 to 3 weeks after injection and to avoid dental work or vaccinations 2 weeks before & after the treatment date.
Treatments generally require less than an hour, but your initial consultation may take longer as we will require extra time to complete your medical history.
Your physician can help you determine how often to schedule repeat Juvederm Injections. Even though results can often be seen almost immediately and last for up to 24 months, you can continue Juvederm Injections as often as you need them and are seeing improvement.
Facial injections are less invasive than cosmetic surgery, but they are still not without risk. Juvederm Injections are safe, but if you have certain allergies (e.g., to stainless steel), have hemostatic (bleeding) dysfunction, anemia, cancer, or blood clotting disorders, Juvederm Injections may not be right for you. If you have sores, irritated skin in the treatment area, or open wounds, treatment will be delayed until these skin issues are resolved. Also, if you are pregnant or nursing or taking certain medications, we will also need to delay treatment.
We will discuss all of your safety concerns at our first session before proceeding with treatment.
