      Cold Level Laser/Microcurrent

      Cold Laser (Low-Level) Therapy

      What is Low-Level Laser Therapy?

Low-level laser therapy, also known as LLLT, is a form of alternative medicine that applies low-power lasers that are light-emitting diodes, LEDs, to the surface of the body. This kind of laser can also be known as cold laser because it does not produce any heat or vibration.

Low-level laser therapy is often used for relief of pain and to promote healing. It promotes extra healing to the tissue by decreasing inflammation and promoting protein synthesis and energy production at the site. It helps with many types of pain but is superior when it comes to pain and discomfort associated with degenerative, nerve pain, arthritis, athletic injuries, and postoperative pain.

LLLT has increased in popularity because of the results and research behind it. The treatment is pain-free and usually under ten minutes. It can help with both acute and chronic conditions. The effects are greatly increased when combining it with other treatment options at One Agora Integrative Health.

      Benefits of Cold Laser Therapy

There are many other benefits to laser therapy besides just pain reduction. These include:

      • Decrease inflammation
      • Promote tissue healing
      • Improve blood circulation
      • Reduce nerve symptoms such as sciatica
      • Increase serotonin levels
      • Wound healing
      • Improve lymphatic flow
      • Promote good joint health

At One Agora, we can also use laser therapy with acupuncture and acupuncture points. When the laser beam is put on acupuncture points, it can help to balance the body and improve the effects of acupuncture.

      FSM Treatment

      What is FSM?

Frequency Specific Microcurrent is a physical therapy modality that has been in use for over 15 years. Microcurrent is current in millionths of an amp. By comparison, a TENS unit and most other electro-therapies produce milliamps. Your own cells make current in microamps.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent Therapy Bloomington MN

Why should I consider having FSM?

      • Constipation/diarrhea/gas/ bloating
      • Skin disorders/eczema/acne
      • Fatigue / depression / insomnia
      • Allergies/food cravings/candidiasis
      • Migraines/fibromyalgia/chronic stress
      • Inflammation/edema/ovarian cysts
      • Detoxification protocols: general, heavy metals, alcohol/drug
      • Acute or chronic injury affecting joints, muscles, bone, nerves, ligaments, tendons, visceral organs and/or vertebral discs

      How does FSM work?

Your body uses microcurrent energy to increase its own energy production. Microcurrent increases the production of ATP (your own chemical energy) by up to 500%. Microcurrent also increases protein synthesis and waste product removal. Specific frequencies selected by the technician will produce a specific response in your body's cells, thereby decreasing inflammation and increasing repair to the cells.

What can I expect during an FSM?

You will lie comfortably on your back for the therapy. Two microcurrent gloves (electrodes) are wrapped in a warm towels and placed on the area in need of repair. The technician will program the machine and then leave the room. You are welcome to rest or read during your therapy. You will remain fully dressed during the therapy. Drinking plenty of water (two quarts) before and after the therapy will produce an optimal outcome. The cells need hydration in order to communicate properly. The current is extremely low and does not stimulate your sensory nerves, therefore, there is no pain or discomfort during the procedure.

How will I feel after FSM?

Approximately 60-80% of the improvements created in one treatment last until the next treatment, about four to seven days. The number of treatments needed depends on the complexity of the problem. We suggest nutritional support tailored to your condition to help create lasting change. Slight fatigue later in the day is common due to the natural detoxification process. Drinking water will help resolve this issue.
